Hello and welcome to your Employee Assistance Program. I am glad you made the decision to give yourself the support and help that we all need. I am a Mental Health Counselor, working with Microsoft employees since 2020. I can help you with work stress, relationship issues, anxiety, depression. We can also work on improving self-esteem, learning better communication and conflict managements skills. You can read more about it in my “specialties”. To make it more comfortable for you to move forward, I put the most typical questions I am asked.
FAQ's
Currently Microsoft Care provides you with 24 therapy session for 1 calendar year. This will allow you to have almost 6 months of weekly therapy sessions if you come once a week, or if you decide to work in more a intense manner, 3 months when meeting with me twice a week.
All sessions which are not used, expire at the end of calendar year. You can not transfer your sessions to the next year. If you want to use all of your authorized sessions and if I have availability, we can talk about meeting twice a week. If you dealing with crisis at the moment, we may meet even more frequently.
If you missed your initial appointment and you failed to let me know at least 24 hours in advance, your session is covered by your benefits though Microsoft Care, but only first time that it happens. If you miss sessions later along our work, my private practice cancellation policy (48 hours in advance notice) will be applied and you will be financially responsible for that session, which is $200 per 50 minutes.
Same as regular session - 50 minutes.

First when I get your information, I will send you paperwork to carefully read and sign it electronically. It will come from “CLIENT PORTAL” via Simple Practice. If you don’t get it within 2 days after submitting your information, please check your spam box. Please read documents carefully and email or text me if you have any questions. This needs to be done prior to our first appointment or we have to reschedule it. Once I get confirmation that you signed all documents I will get back to you with time options so we can schedule our first appointment. Once everything is confirmed you will get email from me with link to your video appointment.
At this point I provide only online services. I do it through a HIPAA compliant video platform Google Meet. Please note that it is a video appointment, you may want to test how it works if you never dealt with it before.
Yes, you can opt for private pay, which is $200 for regular session. Starting June 1st 2020 I am no longer accepting any insurance, but I still can see you as out of network provider. You will need to call your insurance company to find out their policy regarding reimbursement for OON providers.
Most likely I will be able to work with your issue, if you mentioned it when you requested therapy. I can see a brief explanation of the problem before I accept referral and make decision based on my current availability and whether or not your problem is in the scope of my practice. So if I accepted your referral, most likely I work with issues that you mentioned.
No. I work only with clients who are willing to work weekly. If you want to have therapy once a month, I am not a good fit for you.
Yes, you can use other services I provide, but your EAP doesn’t cover them. You would need to be financially responsible for these services.
Yes, you can be as late as you need to be, it is your session. Just make sure you let me know in advance. If I don’t hear from you within 15 minutes after your appointment starts, I will close the Video conference window and put a“no show” in the system. It will automatically charge you $200 for a missed session and for failing to give me the required cancelation notice as required in our contract.
You can cancel your session anytime, but If you want to avoid financial penalty for it, you must let me know 48 hours in advance and I will do all I can to accommodate you with rescheduling.
